We at Co-Soap refuse to use artificial fragrances or colorings. One of our soaps includes USDA certified organic Eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil is made from the distillation of the fresh leaves and branch tops of the eucalyptus tree, also know as blue gum or Australian fever tree. Eucalyptus originated in Australia and Tasmania and has been used for centuries by the aborigines in topical applications to heal wounds and fungal infections. Not only does the eucalyptus plant have medicinal properties, the eucalyptus oil extracted from its leaves also serves as an insect repellent due to its sharp and pungent aroma, as well as an antiseptic.
At Co-soap, we chose to infuse our soap with Eucalyptus oil because of its curative and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as for its sharp and refreshing scent. Eucalyptus Oil is safe for the skin, but is not too be consumed. Our eucalyptus oil infused bar soap, has the perfect balance of eucalyptus essential oil that blends perfectly with our mild soap formula to create a simple and cleaning eucalyptus soap. While the texture is nice and soothing, the fragrance of the soap can be appreciated until the last drop of foam.
The numerous health benefits of eucalyptus oil plus its pleasant and refreshing aromatic scents are what really pushed us to apply it to our soaps. It also happens to be one of my favorite scents. Although it has been used for such purposes for centuries, it has recently gained more popularity in the world as an aroma-therapeutic plant and is increasingly used by conventional medicine practitioners. If you are someone who believes in the healing properties of plants or just appreciates the pleasant scent and cleaning power of a mild vegan soap, then our eucalyptus oil soap is just for you!
